The TC-K777ES cassette deck has been refined in every detail to create a new prestige deck. The TC-K777ESII features a thoroughly reinforced power supply section. Independent power transformers for the audio and mechanism systems are fixed on the rear panel, and the power supplies for each section are dedicated independently to ensure a generous power supply and the elimination of mutual interference. The circuit configuration follows the policy of the TC-K777ES, with the recording and playback flat amplifiers being all-stage L/R twin mono structure DC amplifiers, and direct coupling between the head and playback amplifiers.

In addition, the TC-K777ESII has simplified the circuitry and eliminated all relays in the signal system, thereby eliminating factors that degrade sound quality. The calibration and metering circuits are integrated into independent blocks to further simplify and straighten the audio section for reduced distortion and increased dynamic range. For the head, an LC-OFC wound laser amorphous head with LC-OFC winding is used. LC-OFC is a Class I oxygen-free copper (purity of 99.995% or higher) whose crystals have been enlarged to a huge size and the number of crystal boundaries has been reduced to reduce distortion caused by capacitive reactance. Sony's unique three-head independent suspension system is used to ensure uniform head touch for the recording and playback heads, and the independent structure of each head allows the azimuth accuracy to be strictly controlled during the manufacturing process, resulting in even higher sound quality.

The mechanism employs a closed-loop dual capstan system. This system uses two sets of capstan and pinch rollers around the head to stabilize the tape running around the head, and improves the wow and flutter characteristics by eliminating tape vibration transmitted from the reel. The system also has features such as shortening the span of the tape vibration, which banishes modulation noise outside the audible bandwidth, and enabling uniform head touch by providing a constant tape tension. In addition, the newly developed microcomputer controls the operation of the capstan to ensure stable tape running. The capstan is driven by a direct drive with a quartz-lock servo linear BSL motor. The basic chassis is coppertite (copper plated) to prevent magnetic interference to audio circuits. In addition, the die-cast head base and vibration-dispersing mechanical block reduce vibration transmission to the tape running system.

A newly developed Dolby IC is used, which makes the sound quality natural when noise reduction is turned on and eliminates the so-called Dolby smell. In addition, LC-OFC is used extensively for the signal system wires.

The bias calibration function allows the user to strictly set the optimal recording bias value for the tape used within a range of ±20%. In addition, a recording level calibration function is provided to eliminate differences in recording and playback levels due to tape sensitivity.

During calibration, the level meter switches to the adjustment mode. The multifunction peak program meter is equipped with a double indication system that simultaneously displays peak hold and real-time peak values in the range of -40dB to +10dB with 30 elements each on the left and right sides. A linear electronic counter is provided to digitally display the tape running volume in minutes and seconds (digital). A memory stop/play function linked to the counter is provided. Dolby NR, C-type and B-type are provided. Rec Mute function with auto space is provided. A separate timer enables continuous unattended recording and wake-up playback. Two output systems, fixed output and variable output, are provided.

The variable output is an attenuator system with minimal impedance change and is linked to the headphone output. We have many similar items for sale, please visit our store!! International Buyers - Please Note.
