Sony TC-WR875 Stereo Cassette Deck With Problems. New Pinch Rollers (Made In House). New Lubrication on all Moving Parts. Both decks currently Playback and Record in both directions. Deck A has 2 damaged switches; The Cassette inserted switch and the Type IV detection switch.
Deck A currently works without issue in both direction. Deck B is missing the Side 2 record protection switch. We closed the switch so Deck B will record in either direction but be careful because Deck B will ignore the record tab on side 2 and record to any tape.
Deck B currently works without issue in both directions. These switches are different than the usual Sony switches and we do not have replacements in stock. The counter reset button for Deck A has to be pressed harder than normal for it to function.
This is mandatory and only applies to Sony brand cassette decks. You will also be banned from ever doing business with us again. We work very hard to bring these units up to a quality that could surpass even it's factory brand new original sound quality. However, this is not a new deck.
It's still an analog technology, it still suffers from unwanted noise, it still eats a tape from time to time. These are flaws of the format and not necessarily an indication of a faulty cassette deck. We test our cassette decks for several hours using a combination of very old, worn tapes, new old stock tapes, pre-recorded original tapes, and custom made tapes from our own new tape stock. Only when a deck can make it through a test cycle without any major issues, and without eating a tape, do we post them for sale. Despite all this, it will still eat a tape from time to time.We DO NOT guarantee your tapes will work and do not offer any return options due to specific tape problems.
