TEAC Z-6000 Master Cassette Deck

Legendary Tape deck, from TEAC designed to rival & improve on cassette tape playback from Nakamichis Dragon. This unit likely dates from the early 1980s. Its in good condition, with only a very few minor marks congruent with age. Please note the transparent plastic "pointer" on the output level is missing.

This could easily be replaced or made. The machine has just be FULLY SERVICED. Remove transport, strip, clean, lubricate, replace belts and tape well bulb, rejuvenate pinch rollers, check/adjust transport as per service manual. Replace tantalum capacitors and fusible resistors in bias circuit. Carry out adjustments as per service manual - speed, azumith, height, levels, bias etc.

It plays perfectly & sounds amazing. I have been playing an original pre recorded copy of Carole Kings "Tapestry" Its sounds fantastic. This is a 220v/230v unit designed for europe.
