This listing is for a vintage Technics (Panasonic) RS-631 tape deck, model: RS-631 with manual, schematic and extras. The belt might squeak when first turned on, but that stops within 10 seconds or so. All the lights appear working. Sound was good and the headphone jack works.
There is some rust in the case (pictured)-which appears cosmetic. I opened the unit up for photos and everything looks clean, but Im no expert on these types of units. What I did find after opening the unit was a small piece of white-ish plastic that appears part of the internal bracketing that was broken off inside.
I will include it if you want to see if you can do something with it. The belt appears newer to me but Im not sure.
One of the screws in the side I had to remove with a ratchet. I havent put that screw back on because you might want to replace it with an unstripped screw, but will include it for you to decide.Included is the new tape, manual, schematic and stereo adapter and stereo cord. Feel free to ask any questions. WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD-NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4.
